MY LIFE

"Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar with wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31

"For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Well thing's are alright at the mo. I wouldn't say they're fantastic and I wouldn't say they're bad either. I'm kinda just making it. Been at school two days this week but one of the day's was a bit of a waste because I felt so tired and nauseous I just sat in class and didn't do any work. I've had the worst sore throat the last two days and have to be careful not to push myself anymore coz I'll just get even sicker. And yer the immunosuppressents are pretty much screwing up my body even more but o well I'll live.

On a positive note.. yes there is one.. my blood tests are the best they've ever been! My CK level is only 61! In the "normal" range. They've never been so low before. It's mainly because of all the medication I'm on though. The steriods, immunosuppresent injections and everything else. I just realized today I take bout 15 pills a day... that's like 105 pills a wk lol gross... so yer but I think the diet is helping a lot. Got more energy anyway and I've lost like 5 kg's in 4 wks! Awesome!

    Hi,
My name is Louise I am 34 years old and was diagnosed with polymyositis 5 years ago. I was hospitalised with a ck of 9000 and began the process of prednisolone and methotrexate. I couldn't help but notice the verse you had "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength...." I have found a huge refuge in being a christian and having hope in God. I am in remission and am off all drugs right now. I keep trusting in God because I know that through lots of people praying and leaning on him myself my rhuematologist has been amazed at my progress!! I can relate to what you are going through and will remember you in my prayers. I've never met anyone with this condition because it is so rare so it is interesting to hear your story. - Louise
